Albert Fosco, 90, of Blue Bell, PA died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on May 12, 2016.
Born on May 15, 1925 in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Assunta Pulcinella Fosco and Camillo Fosco. He married Mary D’Amore Fosco on January 11, 1948, and they happily spent their married years together in Norristown, PA.
Albert was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather with an extraordinary sense of humor and quick wit. He was honest, brave, and a true fighter in every sense of the word. A decorated veteran of WWII serving in the 90th Infantry Division, he received the Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart Medal for his courage and bravery on the battlefield. He carried this bravery throughout his life and was a continual source of strength to all who knew him. Albert was a passionate outdoorsman; you could always find him hunting, fishing, or simply bird watching from his chair. He thoroughly enjoyed warm weather, often saying that his kind of day was one where it was 90 in the shade. Loving, funny, strong, and kind is how those who loved him will always remember him. He truly lived life to its fullest and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his loving family, including daughter Susan Falcone (husband Tommy), grandchildren Michelle Falcone Speranza (husband Christian) and Tommy Falcone (wife Gina), four great-grandchildren Evan, Logan, Luca and Tristan, brother Joseph Fosco, and many nieces and nephews. Albert was predeceased by Mary, his beloved wife of 65 years, his son Daniel Fosco, sisters Mini Fosco Vanlein (husband Henry), Mary Fosco Mancine (husband Al), Laura Fosco Smith (husband Reds), Anna Fosco Puleo (husband Steve), Yolanda Fosco Krier (husband Charles), and Connie Fosco Brady (husband Eddie), and brothers John Fosco (wife Ellen) and Anthony Fosco (wife Marie).
