Charles "Chuck" Peter Traub Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Peter Traub Jr. of Norristown PA passed away peacefully on Friday July 17, 2015.  Born February 10, 1928, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Jennie (Friel) Traub. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Esther May (Barr), and his daughter, Linda.  Charles leaves behind 4 children: Susan Trigona of Norristown, PA; Ronald Traub of Collegeville, PA; Carole Handley (wife of Kelly) of Kunkletown, PA and Margie Alloway (wife of Shawn) of Royersford PA and was “Poppy” to 8 grandchildren: Tracey Trigona, Wendy Clemens (wife of Shane); Brynna, Keegan and Alanna Handley; Lauren, Joshua and Jacob Alloway.  He is also survived by his sister, Marie Laurie of Venice FL and many nieces and nephews. 

Charles resided in Norristown, PA (1954 to 1991), Port Charlotte, FL (1991 to 2012) and Royersford PA (2012-2015).   Charles was an avid Philly sports fan, a PIAA Official in baseball, softball and volleyball for over 35 years, CYO Director at St. Titus from 1965 to 1980 and a member of St. Titus Athletic Club (STAC) from its inception in 1966. 

The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff on the 6th Floor at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Montgomery Meadows and Gentiva Hospice, for their care of Charles and the support given to the family in recent years.  

Relatives and friends are invited to visit and pay their respects to Charles on Tuesday, July 21st, 2015 from 10 to 11am at St. Titus Church, 3006 Keenwood Road, Norristown, PA 19403.  The funeral mass will take place at 11am followed by the burial at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, DeKalb Pike, Norristown, PA 19401. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Titus Athletic Club, 3006 Keenwood Road, Norristown, PA 19403.
