Derek Alexander Kardos

Derek Alexander Kardos, 32, formerly of Grand Rapids, MI, died
unexpectedly on Monday, January 8, 2018.  He grew up in Grand Rapids,
MI where in graduated from the Michigan Youth Challenge Academy in
December 2003.

Derek owned his own tree business and loved being a tree climber; he
was so good at it.  He enjoyed riding dirt bikes and spending time
with his 2 boys.


Derek also struggled with addiction since he was 15 years old; he
fought that addiction so hard but was never able to be fully free from
the grasp of that addiction.  He was a kind, generous, caring Man and
loved unconditionally.


Derek was preceded in death by his Father, Lawrence Alexander Kardos,
his paternal grandparents, Vern & Dorothy Kardos, his maternal
grandparents, Rosemary Francis and William Horner.  He is survived by
his children Alexander James Kardos, 5, and Christian Lee Curley, 3,
his Mom, Theresa Adkison of Grand Rapids, MI, his Sister, Casey
Stevens of Grand Rapids, MI, his Sister, Ashley Kardos of Muskegon,
MI, the Love of His Life, Samantha Tramontina of Wyndmoor, PA and
several nieces and nephews and friends.

Derek was cremated and his remains will be going back to Grand Rapids,
MI with his Mom where we will celebrate his Life with his Family and
Friends.
