Eric W. Simon

SIMON, Eric W., on January 28th, 2017 at home in Collegeville, PA surrounded by his family. Survived by his wife Joan L. Simon, and children: daughter Lisa, wife of Bill Huttinger; son Christopher, husband of Joni Simon; daughter Heather, wife of Steven Buttroff; daughter MaryRose, wife of Richard Allen; son Kevin, husband of Stacy Simon. Also survived by his former wife, MaryAnn Simon, and step-children Michael Hogan and Heather, wife of Frank Mastroni. Son of the late Edna Ruckel and William H. Simon. Brother of (the late) Richard H. Simon, Timothy O’Connell, Diane Barron, Susan O’Connell, Daniel O’Connell, David Ruckel, and Stephen Ruckel. Nephew of Linda, wife of Tony Morazan, and the late Mary Ann Schmidt. Also survived by 12 loving grandchildren,and many nieces and nephews. Eric worked for Local Union No. 98 (formerly Local Union No. 380): International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 35 years before retiring at age 55, and then worked as a driver for Ken Crest Lifesharing for 5 years.Also volunteered at Halls Avenue Church soup kitchen in Norristown for many years. Member of Christ Church of the Valley, avid foodie and amateur chef. Memorial service will be held at Christ Church of the Valley, Royersford, PA, Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at 11:00am.  In leiu of flowers please consider a donation to Christ Church of the Valley in Royersford or Haws Avenue Church in Norristown.
