Harvey Dick Shoemaker

Harvey Dick Shoemaker, 74, originally from Philadelphia, PA, passed away on August 18, 2017.  He grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from William Penn Charter School, Class of 1961. Harvey moved to State College where he attended Pennsylvania State University receiving his B.S. in Business Logistics in 1969.  He was an avid biker and owned and operated The Bicycle Shop on West College Avenue until the mid 80’s. 

       The son of the late William and Joan Corbin Shoemaker, Harvey is survived by his sons, Jeffrey and family of State College, Pennsylvania, Matthew and family of Savannah, Georgia, and his twin brother John and family of Palm Coast, Florida.

      A Memorial Service is being planned for Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 2 PM in the Quaker Meeting Room at the William Penn Charter School, 3000 School House Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19144.  Funeral arrangements and condolences are in the care of the Volpe Funeral Home, Norristown, PA, volpefh.com
