John P. Burns

John P. Burns (Jack) of West Norriton died peacefully in Season's Hospice in Phoenixville, Pa March 11, 2017.  He was 87.  John was born in Norristown, Pa to the late James A Burns and Martha Burns. He was married to his deceased beloved wife Helen for 60 years of marriage.  John was a retired superintendent at Interlake Steel in Chicago.  He loved to travel and eating out, he love to read and was a veteran of the United States Navy, veteran of Korean war conflict. He is survived by two children, Joanne Monteleone (Charles) of Norristown, and Jack Burns(Lois) of Schwenksville as well as his six grandchildren, Kristin Monteleone Smith(Jeff), C.J. Monteleone, Julie Monteleone, Shelby Monteleone, Jackie Burns and Matthew Burns.  He also leaves a cherished great-granddaughter Arabelle and a great-grandson Cayden. He was predeceased by his son, Jim in 2014. He was predeceased in death by his siblings, brothers James, Robert, Raymond his sisters Dorthy(Wells), Mildred(Laver), Martha(Carter) and Virginia (Scheetz).relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, March 17 at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Friends may call from 1030 to 11:30 AM Friday at the funeral home.
