John E. Lloyd Sr.

John E. Lloyd Sr. passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017. He was 77.  Mr. Lloyd, of Philadelphia, was a retired salesmen and engineer in the Industrial Bakery Equipment Industry. He graduated from Central High School in Flint, Michigan. John enjoyed family, cooking, trains, photography, guns and especially driving his Mustangs. He was born in Tucson, Arizona on January 11, 1940 and was the son of the late Burton and Beulah (Gibson) Lloyd. He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Rita Ryder; her daughter Rita StClair (Rich) and their two children Rita and Alyssa; his three sons, John Jr. (Margie), Jeffrey (Stacy) and Omer Lloyd; and his daughter, Sandra Lee MacPherson. He is also survived by his brother, Frank B.Lloyd; two nieces, Jamie and Jennifer; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Nicole, Alexandria, Margine,and Jaclyn; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia, as well as his beloved dog Princess. He was predeceased by a sister, Beulita Richie.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday, November 20 at 11:30 AM at the Volpe Funeral home located at 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Road in Norristown. The Reverend Jeffery Johnson, Pastor of Christ Church- United Church of Christ, Norristown will officiate.
Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery located at 2500 DeKalb Pike (202) in Norristown. Friends may call Monday morning from 10 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Family request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to your local SPCA in John’s memory.
