Samuel J. Storti of Trooper passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was 93 years old.

Born in Bridgeport, PA on September 22, 1923, Samuel was the son of the late Luigi and Maria M. (Boccella) Storti. He was the loving husband of Margaret (Catagnus) Storti, with whom he shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. 

Samuel was a member of the United States Army and a Veteran of World War II.  Samuel was a dedicated member of Visitation B.V.M. Church in Trooper and loved spending time with his family, especially during Sunday dinners. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching and rooting for all of the Philadelphia teams. 

Samuel is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Margaret; his son, Louis S. Storti, and his wife, Kathleen; and his son-in-law, Edward Peterson. He was the proud Grandpop of five grandchildren: Rhiannon Serpico (Todd); Laura Yeakel (Jeffrey); Louis J. Storti (Maureen); Amanda Breen (Patrick); and Alyssa Miller (Jonathan), as well as eleven great-grandchildren. Samuel was preceded in death by his son, James Storti; his daughter, Majorie Peterson; his sister, Rose Storti; and his four brothers: Anthony, Nicholas, Pasquale and Felix.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Wednesday, April 19 at 10 AM in Visitation BVM Church, Trooper. Friends may call from 9 to 10 AM at the church. Burial St. Patrick's Cemetery.
