Frances A Smith

Frances A. Smith of East Norriton PA, passed away on Friday April 5, 2024, She was 95. 
 

Frances was born in Phoenixville PA on June 6, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Harry and Antoinette (Chikoska) Yashura. She graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1946. In her later years she took coarses in accounting at Montgomery County Community College. Frances loved to sing and was a wonderful dancer (polka and jitter bug).  During her younger years she was a member of Saint Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church of Phoenixville and sang in the traveling choir. She worked part time and full time for various companies, and retired as an accountant. She enjoyed cooking, baking and ceramics..  She had a gift for sewing and made clothing for her children, beautiful bedspreads with matching curtains. She enjoyed spending time with family on vacations and camping trips.                                                                                                  

She was the beloved wife of Walter J. Smith.  Also survived by five children, Donna Marie Smith, Gregory Smith wife Brenda, Dennis Smith, Michael Smith and Michele Smith Frangiosa. Six grandchildren David Smith (Steven), Meghan DiBussolo (Matthew), Louis Frangiosa, Nicholas Frangiosa (Kristen), Michael Smith (Ashley), and Brandon Smith. She also has four great grandchildren.                                                                                        
 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Thursday, April 11 at 10 AM in St. Titus Church Kenwood Rd., East Norriton.  Family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 9 to 10 AM prior to mass. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe funeral home. volpefh.com
