Catherine Chendorain

Catherine (Gaspari) DeMeno Chendorain passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at her daughters home in Collegeville.  She was 96. 
Mrs. Chendorain of Norristown was a member of Holy Saviour church, Senior adult activity center and the Catholic war veteran ladies auxiliary post 1182. Catherine enjoyed crocheting, sewing, baking, bingo, going to the casino and enjoyed babysitting the neighborhood children." Catherine was a seamstress for 48 yrs at Bridgeport Pants Factory and the Thorngate Pants Factory. She made great jello cups, always had snacks and pudding in her fridge, and would always tell us jokes. She could make anyone laugh with her jokes. Her famous Line  was "Sit down sit down, eat something, we have plenty of food." She will forever be missed. We love you. Rest in Peace. She was the wife of the late Leonard DeMeno and Francis Chendorian. She is survived by her daughter Betty Ann (Robert) Batzel. 
Two grandchildren Brian and Jeff. Two great grandchildren Ben and Reid.
Predeceased by a brother Frank, sister Amelia " Molly" and nephew John Delvecchio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Saturday, February 25 at 11 AM in Holy Saviour church. Burial St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at the church. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe funeral home.
