Constance Sindlinger

Sindlinger, Connie Lee (Douty) age 74, formerly of Ambler, PA, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019.  Born in Delaware, she was a graduate of Glendale High School, Glendale, CA.  Connie was a member of Upper Dublin Lutheran Church for forty-five years.  She volunteered her time as a Sunday School Teacher, Girl Scout Leader, Special Olympics Coordinator and President of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. From 1983 to 1988, She owned and operated Connie’s Green Owl Restaurant.  This continued for another fifteen years as she worked from her concession trailer during the Octoberfest’s, Auto Shows, Holiday Parades, etc. The interaction with the community, friends and family is what she enjoyed the most. She cherished her collection of animated figurines and often attended country music concerts. Pre-deceased by her parents, Foster and Thelma Douty, sisters Beverly Wyatt and Florence Masker. She is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-one years, David Sindlinger Sr. Her three children, Sherrie, David Jr (spouse Patti) and Wanda. Her seven grandchildren, Christina, Tori, Adam, Jessica, Grace, Alexander and Nicole. Her one great grandson, JD. Her twin sister, Sharon Alcorn, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive relatives and friends on, Saturday November 9 at 3 p.m. , followed by a service at 4 p.m. will be held at First St John’s Lutheran Church, 140 King Street, York, PA, where David and Connie were married and most of Dave’s family still reside.
