David B. Wilson, 88, of Norristown, PA passed away on July 22, 2018 at Einstein Montgomery Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia on March 31, 1930, he was the son of the late Eileen (Hargy) and David Wilson. He grew up in Roxborough with his brother James and sisters Evie and Floss. He served in the US Army as a medic in the Korean War. Upon his return he was employed by Hamilton Paper Co, where he met the love of his life, Martha. After his retirement from the paper mill, he went on to work at the Elmwood Park Zoo for another 24 years, just recently retiring this past October due to his illness.
Dave was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Martha (Culp) and his great grandson, Joey. He is survived by his loving daughters, Ruthann Scarafone, Joanne (Sam) Smith, and Diane (Jerry) Brown. His granddaughters, Erica, Racheal, Jaci, Samantha and his Great grandchildren, Tatum, Karly, Dominic and Avery, along with his EPZ family and dear friends, Jill and Michelle.
A visitation will be held on Friday August 31, 2018 at the Volpe Funeral Home, 707 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19403 from 9 am to 10:30 am with a memorial service beginning At 10:30 am.
At the memorial service, the family would appreciate hearing from anyone that would like to share an experience or fond memory they have of Dave.
