Durrell Thomas Rebuck, age 65 passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Keystone House Hospice in Wyndmoor. Durrell was born in Sunbury, PA on February 8, 1954 to Thomas H. and Emma Jane (Gessner), Mr. Rebuck is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marian L. (Wells), son, Andrew J. daughter, Kathryn W., grandson, Cason and granddaughter, Mattie. He is also survived by his mother, Emma Jane, sister, Holly Lenker (husband Dwayne), mother-in-law, Frances Wells and many other loving relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas H, grandparents, John and Dorothy Gessner and Morris and Nora Rebuck and father in law, Russell J. Wells. He graduated from A.D. Eisenhower High School in Norristown in 1972. He worked for various companies as a tool and die designer before transitioning to a metal fabricator and shop supervisor.
He was a master black powder gunsmith participating faithfully in the Goschenhoppen Folk Festival for the last 50 years. He was an Eagle Scout and scout master for 10 years. He was a member of Lower Providence Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir and served as a leader for multiple youth mission trips. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors and camping.
A memorial service celebrating Durrell’s life will be held on Saturday, February 16 at 11:00am with calling hours from 9:00 to 10:55 at Lower Providence Presbyterian Church in Eagleville (3050 West Ridge Pike, Eagleville, PA 19403).
