Maria Concetta Balsamo 
Born 12/21/45 in Carini, Provincia di Palermo Passed away on 5-5-2017 in Carini, Provincia di Palermo
She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe Balsamo and mother Antonina Castiglia.  She has survived by her siblings, sister Uvina Balsamo, Giuseppa Balsamo, brothers Vincenzo Balsamo and Giuseppe Balsamo.  She was the wife of Giuseppe Lanza. She was the mother of four beautiful daughters and one handsome son; Marianna (Agostino) Tosco, Antonella (Disma)Russo, Elvira (Giulio) Musso , Marcella (Maurizio)Abbate and Piero (Kate) Lanza.  She was the grandmother of Anthony, Rosalia, Rosie and Giuseppe Tosco; Francesco and Rosamaria Russo; Maria and Angela Musso; Giuseppe, Luca and Davide Abbate; Valentina, Giuseppe and Sabrina Lanza.  She was also a great grandmother to Tony and Sonia Tosco; Angelina, Daniella and Anthony D'Orazio. 
Maria was a kind, generous woman. She welcomed everyone and made them feel like family. When you visited her home, she offered you espresso and made you stay for dinner.  She had a way of making everyone feel at home in her house and brought joy to all those around her. Maria had always dreamed of living in the United States, the family has decided to fulfil her wish. Maria  will be laid to rest in St Patrick Mausoleum on May 16, 2017.  Her mass will be celebrated at 10 am at Visitation BVM church, Trooper Pa.  Relatives and friends may call Tuesday morning between 8:30 and 10am at the church.
