Mary T. Giaimo

Mrs. Mary T. Giaimo died peacefully on March 4, 2018 after a short stay in the Pocono Mountains. Mary was the daughter of Angelo and Elizabeth Gigliotti of Plymouth Meeting, PA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Dr. Anthony Giaimo. Mary was born and raised in Norristown, PA where she worked for several years as a dance teacher prior to marrying and having her two children Florence (Longmore) and Joseph. Some of her hobbies included gardening, playing bridge, and feeding her “birds”. Anthony and Mary retired to West Palm Beach, FLA where they enjoyed the sunshine and the company of her two youngest grandchildren, Joseph and Christian. Mom will be remembered most as fiercely protective and proud of her family, whom she cherished most in this world. She is survived by her three younger siblings Vincent Gigliotti (Greenbelt, MD), Pat Gigliotti (Solomon’s Island, MD), and Gloria Ninke (Myrtle Beach, SC), children Florence and Joseph, son-in-law David Longmore (White Haven, PA) daughter-in-law Shannon Cake-Giaimo (Singer Island, FLA) and grandchildren Kimberly, Stephanie, Joseph, and Christian. May she rest in peace. Relatives and friends may call Saturday March 10, from 10AM-11AM at the Holy Saviour church, Norristown. Funeral mass will follow at 11AM. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe Funeral Home.
