Raymond (Ray) F. Horutz, 68, of Schwenksville, PA passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2018 at Abington Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia on April 3, 1950, he was the son of the late Vera (Sysock) and Frank Horutz. He grew up in Harleysville with his brother David Horutz. He served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. When he was done serving he was employed at BF Goodrich, and married his high school sweetheart Loreda D. (Kromer). He also served in the Army National Guard from 1986 till he retired April 3, 2011. In 1989 he graduated from Montgomery County Community College with his Registered Nursing degree, he went on to work at Montgomery County Emergency Services till 2018. He was predeceased by his brother David and nephews Michael Horutz and Kenneth G. Reyburn. He is survived by his loving wife Loreda of 46 years, his daughter Abby and her husband Scott Pawling, his son Andrew and his wife Heather Horutz. His grandchildren, Hannah and Ian Pawling and Lydia and Andrew Horutz. A memorial service will be held on October 4, 2018 at Grace Bible Church, 423 Main Street Souderton, PA 18964. Visitation will start at 6:30 the service will start at 7:30. At the memorial service, the family would appreciate hearing from anyone that would like to share an experience or fond memory they have of Ray.
