Rita Monastero

Rita  T. (Maniscalco)  Monastero passed away on Saturday, November  3, 2018. She was 85. Mrs. Monastero of East Norriton was a member of Holy Saviour church. Rita was born in Norristown on January 30, 1933 and was the daughter of late John and Carmella "Carrie"(Lombardo) Maniscalco. She is survived by her husband  Michael Monastero. Four sons Michael Jr, John (Kathi), Joseph (Judy) Robert (Paula) and her daughter Marilyn Monastero. "She was all about family and was loved so very much by her eleven grandchildren, Carrie Clelland, Robert Cleary, Frank Bearoff, Rebecca Palmer, Angela Geiger, Gina Monastero, Amy Sundling, Joseph, Zachary, Jacob and Joshua Monastero and six great grandchildren, Michael and Emma Clelland, Robbie Cleary, Gabby Palmer, Jaxon Geiger and R.J. Sundling along with Cole and Ellie Schreiner and Hadley and Kevin Stevenson and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Francis and a sister Jean.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 12 noon from the Volpe funeral home 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Rd, East Norriton. Family will receive relatives and friends from 11 to 12pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private Family request in lieu of  flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
