Salvatore “Sam” Petriello passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was 92. Mr. Petriello of East Norriton was a member of St. Titus Church. He was retired from the B.F. Goodrich Co. and also continued to work in the plumbing and heating field for many years. He was a Veteran of World War II and served as a Corporal in the Sixth Marine Division (Battalion 4, 15th Regiment). Sam was active in his community working and teaching at Habitat for Humanity, raising scholarship money for Bishop Kenrick High School students, and operating the concession stand at Latshaw Field to benefit the Red McCarthy Sports Complex. Born on October 29, 1925, Sam was the son of the late Michael and Virginia (DeSimone) Petriello. He was the husband of the late Mildred (Shuler) Petriello. He is survived by his two daughters Jeanne LaSorda and Nancy Barile. A son Daniel Petriello. Six grandchildren (Maj. Mike LaSorda, USAF; Maj. Paul LaSorda, USAF; Mark LaSorda, D.O.; Michelle (Jordan) Wolfe; Dana Petriello; Joseph Petriello and one great grandchild Mirabella Miles. Two sisters Jean (Joseph) Fazio, Ann Shaffer.
Pre-deceased by his brothers Louis and Michael, and sisters Mary (Alfred) Giovonizzi, Carmela (George) Yakscoe and Grace (Babe) Homa.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Tuesday, May 29 at 11 AM in St. Titus Church. Burial St Patrick Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at the church.
