Vibert D. Mayers, a resident of King of Prussia, PA, for 23 years, passed away at his home on June 4, 2017, at the age of 65.  Bert was born on May 2, 1952, in Yonkers NY, to Vibert D. Mayers, Sr. and Elizabeth Petrie.  He grew up in the Hudson River Valley and lived for many years in the San Francisco Bay Area.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carole Deutsch Mayers and their six beautiful kitties; his sister, Vickie Oswald, and brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Amy Mayers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles “Chip” & Christine "Chris" Deutsch, and Robert “Bob” and Kathy Deutsch, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents and his sister-in-law, Peggy Deutsch.

Bert left his loved ones suddenly and he will be dearly missed.  He was a steadfast force, strong and determined, always providing support and assistance behind the scenes.  He was a remarkably talented and creative professional chef – cooking with love and care for his family members and friends his entire life.  He was an accomplished, self-taught guitar player, singer and recording engineer.  Bert was a committed and loyal employee of Aramark Corporation for the past 17 years, working in the capacity of Audio-Visual supervisor at Villanova Conference Center.

In his native Hudson Valley, Bert left an enormous and positive footprint in which virtually hundreds of his friends and their families dwell.

Bert was driven to excel, pushing himself to become better at any endeavor he set his mind to achieve.  He was the ultimate self-learner, curious to know more, compelled to strive for excellence.

Bert was devoted to his wife of 33 years, facilitating her musical pursuits at every step throughout their 40 years as a couple.

His love and his extraordinary gifts will remain in our hearts forever.

We ask that you honor Bert’s life with a donation to one of three organizations, in lieu of flowers or food to the family.
