Alfonzo M Gallo

Alfonzo M. Gallo passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the age of 61.

A lifelong resident of Norristown, Alfonzo was a devoted member of Holy Saviour Church. He graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School in 1982. Known affectionately as “Funzi,” he took immense pride in working with his hands, pouring his heart into building and restoring homes or quietly fixing things for the people he held dear.

As a self-employed real estate developer, Alfonzo, alongside his brother Rick Gallo, owned Gallo Brothers Development, Inc., leaving behind a legacy of skill, dedication, and a deep love for creating something lasting.

Born in Norristown, PA, on February 29, 1964, he was the son of Barbara (Kaspar) Gallo of Norristown and the late Joseph M. Gallo.

He is survived by his beloved children:

• Ashley and her husband Gerald,

• Lauren and her husband Michael,

• Joseph Gallo,

• Michael Gallo.

Alfonzo leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, Barbara Gallo; his brother, Rick Gallo, (Rosetta Gallo) as well as his sister, Renee DePaul, (Gene DePaul),

He held a special place in his heart for his treasured grandchildren—Gianna, Michael, Naomi, and Olivia—and will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Dawn Gallo, the devoted mother of his four children.

The Gallo family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 16, at 5:00 PM at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown, PA 19403.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday March 17, 2025 at 10am, viewing will be held from 8:30am - 9:30am at Holy Saviour Church, followed by burial at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made through the Volpe Funeral Home website to plant a memorial tree in Alfonzo’s honor.
