Amelia ( Brown) Allevi, fondly known as Baby,
Passed away at her home on January 27, 2024 at the age of 94 in Norristown, PA. She was born on February 16, 1929 in Norristown.
She was the oldest child of Felice and Emilia Gaspari Allevi. She is preceded in death by her sister Florence (Flossie) cherished by her surviving sister Mary Grace Capone (Andrew Capone) and brother John Allevi and sister-in-law Judy Allevi. She is also survived by her nieces Anne Capone, Angela Allevi Newman, nephews Andrew Capone, Chris Capone, John Allevi and great nieces and nephews Owen, Evan and Aiden Newmen and Christopher, Alexa, Ben, Andrew and Carly Capone
She married the love of her life the late William “Bill” Brown who preceded her in death. They lived a wonderful life in several different states and traveled extensively for work and pleasure.
After graduating from Norristown High School, Amelia worked as a file clerk at law firms in the Norristown area.
She is remembered as a loving and generous person who always found time to engage in conversation. Loved all dogs especially her dear Sabre. She amazingly participated in Aerobic classes well into her 80’s.
For more than 10 years she enjoyed delivering food for Meals On Wheels to the home bound in the Baltimore area. She also donated many delicious homemade meals for her parish at St. Joseph’s Church in Cockeysville MD.
She loved her family and never missed a birthday, marking each one with a handwritten note in a beautiful card.
She was an excellent cook and loved holding elegant dinner parties at her home for family, friends and her husband’s business associates.
She was also an avid golfer enjoying the opportunity to play on numerous courses across the country.
In her active 94 years, she touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, February 9 from 9 AM to 10 AM at the St. Patrick’s Church Norristown. Funeral mass will follow at 10 AM, burial will take place in St. Patrick’s cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe Funeral Home.
