Andrew “Andy” J. Demchik, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025. He was 92.
Andy was born in Bridgeport, a longtime resident of Norristown and retired to Lake Harmony. Andy was a retired Mechanical Engineer, having worked for both the former Allen Wood Steel Company and SmithKline Pharmaceuticals during his distinguished career.
Andy was a proud member of the Maenner-Chor Club in Norristown and enjoyed spending time in the mountains, relaxing at the beach, and pursuing his passions for fishing and hunting.
Born in Bridgeport on September 24, 1932, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Pado) Demchik.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Linda Nicholson, and her husband Benn; his sister, Roseanne Reichert; his grandson, Tom Callison, and his wife Lori; and his cherished great-granddaughters, Hailey and Abbey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, June 27, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Volpe Funeral Home, 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Road, East Norriton, followed by a prayer service. Interment will take place at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Upper Merion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Andy’s name to your local SPCA.
