Ann Louise Volpe passed away at 77 on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, after almost a two-year battle with metastatic breast cancer with her family by her side.
Ann Louise was born in Philadelphia on December 27, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Lawrence Raymond and Alma Elizabeth (Anseaume) Baker. She graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School in 1963.
She worked in various roles at Wawa for 36 years. She started there as a store associate in 1985 when Wawa opened their first store on Main Street in Collegeville, PA. She continued to work there in various roles until it closed in 2016. She then moved to a new home at the Collegeville Wawa gas store. She remained there until she officially retired in 2021.
She was the dedicated wife of the late Salvatore C. Volpefor 50 years. Beloved mother to Caroline Volpe (Jeffery Hilt). Doting grandmother (Mams) to Olivia Hilt. Treasuredsister to Paul and Larry Baker, Mary Nixon, and Barbara Rossi. Fun-loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother, Steve Baker.
Ann Louise was dedicated to her family. She always enjoyed spending time with them whether at home visiting or out and about on an adventure. She spent many hours driving her granddaughter to and from her horseback lessons and watching her ride, which always gave her great pleasure.
Funeral and burial will be private at Calvary cemetery.
A Celebration of Life lunch will be held at Maggiano’s at 160 N Gulph Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406 at 12:15pm on Tuesday, June 27th. Family and friends are invited to come to celebrate Ann Louie’s life. Please come dressed to celebrate!
