Anna Bartholomew

It is with great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Anna Gatti Bartholomew in her home on May 18th, 2026, She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 91 years old. 

Born on March 22, 1935 in Ascoli Piceno, Italy to Filippo and Giuseppina (Peroni), she was the treasured sister to Marino, Livio, Olivia, Dominico, Nello, Silvio, Maria, Gina, Vincenzo and Adriana.  She loved her countless nieces and nephews. She carried the love, traditions and strength of her Italian roots throughout her entire life. 

Anna was the beloved wife of the late Guido Bartholomew Jr, sharing 72 years of marriage.  They created many things together, most cherished being their three daughters, Adriane (Frank) Johnson, Anna Marie (Mitch) Arra, and Marissa (John) Czop.  She was the adored grandmother to Olivia (Matthew) Frangiosa, Gina (Kyle) Mead, Anthony Arra, Carla (Kenneth) Sohl, Eric (Ryan) Johnson, and Nicklaus (Andrew) Arra, Julianna (Sean) Speers and Talia Czop and great grandmother to Rocco, Annabella, Alexander and Enzo. 

Anna was an incredible cook whose kitchen was the heart of her home. Her meals brought everyone together, where laughter, stories, love and food were always plentiful. She made the best pizza, bread and pasta, creating two businesses, Hot Spot and Papa Guido’s Pizzeria.  She was a talented seamstress. She loved being in the sun, especially on her porch, in her yard or at the beach. Her Catholic faith was a guiding force throughout her life, often praying to St Gabriel. She had many friends who were like sisters.

Anna leaves behind a legacy of love, tradition, faith, and family that will continue through all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, May 26, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Visitation BVM Church, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
