Anna Mae Komorowski

Anna Mae “Tootsie” Komorowski passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the age of 88. 

A longtime resident of Bridgeport, Anna Mae was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church in Swedesburg. She also volunteered for many years at the former Our Mother of Sorrows Church, where she faithfully assisted with numerous parish activities. 

Anna Mae worked for many years as a hairdresser, a profession that reflected her caring nature and love of connecting with others. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and found her greatest joy in babysitting her beloved grandchildren who truly meant the world to her. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, summers at the Jersey Shore, and was a devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan. 

Born in Norristown on September 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Angelina (Carbo) Iacovelli. 

She was the beloved wife of Walter Komorowski, Sr., with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. 

She is survived by her son, Walter Komorowski, Jr.; her daughter, Andrea Steiger, and her husband, William; her sister, Rita Lombardo; her cherished grandchildren, William Jr., Christopher, Zachary, Michael, Jaime, Ryan, and Kaylee; and her great-grandchildren, Michael Jr., Brynn, Brooklyn, Daelynn, Brielle, Jayce, Phoenix and Phate. 

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Capoferri, Mary Scarpone, Dora Iacovelli, and Virginia Pergine; and her brothers, Anthony and Vincent Iacovelli. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, January 2, at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson Street, Bridgeport, PA. There will be no viewing. Interment will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church or in the form of Mass cards.
