Anthony “Tony” J. Marinello Sr., 94, of Trooper, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
Born in Norristown on January 19, 1931, Anthony was the beloved son of the late Sam and Mary (Bono) Marinello. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Tony leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Anthony served his country honorably during the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked with his father’s produce business and then as a steelworker where he was employed for 17 years at Alan Wood Steel Company. Preceding his retirement he worked as a computer Warehouse Manager.
Anthony was a longtime member of Visitation BVM Church in Trooper. He enjoyed a full and active life, spending time golfing, gardening, and cheering on his favorite Philadelphia sports teams.
He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine (Wawrzynski) Marinello; his daughters, Debbie Hall (Ken) and Mary Beth Merola (Vincent) and his son Anthony, Jr (Missy). He is also survived by two sisters, Frances Molinaro and Lena McMonigle; nine cherished grandchildren—Christine, Jason, Alyson, Justin, AJ, Emily, Nicholas, Jack, and Michael—and four adored great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, April 23, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Visitation BVM Church, Trooper, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anthony’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
