Barbara Horner

Barbara J. Horner, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020. Born in Trenton, NJ, she had been a resident of Bordentown for most of her life. She was a devoted Mother who worked as the bookkeeper for Horner Brothers Fence Company in the 1970's. She later went on to work for the State of New Jersey and the Better Business Bureau as a secretary.

Pre deceased by her biological parents, Pierre Hoffman and Eleanor Gaskill (Kenworthy), her parents who raised her, Frank and Mary Prokopetz, and her beloved husband of 56 years, Thomas C. Horner. She is survived by her 3 sons: Frank J. Horner of Bordentown, John T. Horner of Bordentown and Richard J. Horner of Hamilton. Her grandchildren: Matthew T. Horner, Sean M. Horner, Kaylee G. Horner, Paul J. Horner and Teresa M. Horner. Also, by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was a great cook, an avid penny slot player, and she loved to attend any events for her grandchildren. She loved to sit outside on nice days to enjoy the weather and talk.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Hamilton, NJ on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 11:30am- 1:00pm with food and refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her son John Horner at 84 Groveville Road, Yardville, NJ 08620.
