Barbara Weikel Obituary

Barbara Ann Weikel passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was 75. Mrs. Weikel of Limerick was a retired Census Officer for the Methacton School District. Barbara was born in Red Bank, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Brister) Bennett. She was the wife of the late Elmer Weikel, Jr. She is predeceased by her sisters Irene Shelly and Betty Bray. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Sorgini (Jason) and Grace Weikel and grandchildren Zachary, Alexander, Nicholas, Joseph and Madison. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. 

 

Barbara’s faith was an important part of her life. She was proud to serve the residents of Village of Willow Run as the president of the homeowner’s association. Barbara was a friend to many and willing to help anyone in any way she could. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and any sports or activities her grandchildren were involved.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Monday, November 30 at 10 AM at Visitation BVM church.  There will be no visitation. Burial will be private. Her family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Hospice & Home Care Foundation at https://www.mainlinehealth.org/ways-to-give/homecare-and-hospice/make-a-gift-online.
