Bernadette Genuardi Obituary

Bernadette (Bernie) Theresa Genuardi entered eternal life on April 7, 2020. She was born on October 16, 1958 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown. She passed following a lengthy illness.  Bernadette was the beloved daughter of the late Anne and Peter Genuardi of Norristown, PA. She is predeceased by her sister, Antoinette (Toni) Marr and nephew, Joseph Genuardi, Jr. Bernadette is survived by her brothers Joseph and Peter Genuardi and by her sisters, Sister Peter Marie (Mac) C.S.F.N.and Anna Marie Childress and many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Bernie will be dearly remembered for her gorgeous smile and for the joy she brought to so many in her life. She loved listening to music, dancing, and swimming. She always enjoyed a delicious cappuccino from Wawa. She was an avid Phillies fan and celebrated them through good and bad. She has touched the lives of countless family, parish, and community members. 

During her lifetime, Bernie participated in the sheltered workshop at the Developmental Enterprises Co. in West Point, PA.  She is a graduate of Norristown Highschool. Bernadette volunteered for over 25 years as an aide for children with special needs at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in their Catechism program.  She was recognized for this work by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and was awarded the Our Lady of Guadalape Award for teaching special education.

The Genuardi Family is ever so grateful to the staff of Divine Providence Village for the loving kindness they provided Bernadette in her later years.
