Bernice M. Pires

Bernice, M. Pires, (Ondik) of Jeffersonville, PA. Age 87. Passed away on Wednesday August 16, 2023.
Bernice was born in Pottstown PA. on January 31, 1936 to the late Stephen and Pauline (Iswalt) Ondik.
Bernie was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late Salvador M. Pires, who passed away on May 19, 2018.
She was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church in East Norriton, and the church's Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
 She was also a member of the St. Titus, Senior Citizens Group and the Seniors Silver Circle of West Norriton for over 20 years. Bernice was a Retreatant, Promoter and weekend volunteer at the Dominican Retreat House in Elkins Park, PA.
 
She was a 1953 class graduate of the Pottstown Senior High School.  Bernie retired in 2006 from her position as an Administrative Assistant in the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth.
She enjoyed bus trips, Reading and Puzzles. Bernie is survived by her brother, Stephen of Blanton, PA., and many nieces and nephews.
 She was  predeceased by an infant daughter, Christina Marie, her sisters Katherine Ondik Bolak, Monica Bauer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Monday, August 21 at 11 AM in St. Titus Church Kenwood Rd., East Norriton.
 Burial to follow at St Patrick’s Cemetery.

Her viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45AM Monday at the church.
