Daniel J. DeMito, 87, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026. Born in Norristown on May 12, 1938, he was the son of the late Carmen and Elizabeth (Sciallo) DeMito Sr. Daniel was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Stachelek) DeMito.
Daniel was a dedicated employee, retiring as a shipping supervisor from Stroehmann Bakeries after 37 years of service. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. In his free time, Daniel enjoyed watching Phillies baseball, following horse racing, and playing bingo—simple pleasures that brought him great joy. Preceded in death by three brothers Henry, Carmen Jr and Lawrence "TJ". He is survived by his loving son, Paul DeMito; his sister, Loretta Belz; his cherished grandchildren, Bianca Bukasa (Kabongo)and Danielle Edwards (Terrance); and his great-grandchildren, Nolan Edwards and Nori Bukasa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, April 17, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by prayer services at Volpe Funeral Home, 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Road, East Norriton. Entombment will follow at St. Patrick’s Mausoleum.
