Celebrating the Life of Daniel Ruggiano Jr. Grateful Dead - Scarlet Begionas 7-7-89
Daniel Ruggiano Jr., 59, of West Norriton, PA, passed away on September 25, 2025. Born on September 30, 1966, in Philadelphia, he was the beloved son of Daniel Ruggiano Sr. and Marion (Montano) Ruggiano.
Dan lived his life with kindness, compassion, humor, and a sense of openness that drew people to him. After building a career with Lincoln Investment Planning, he retired and embraced the things that brought him joy. He was happiest on his motorcycle, riding with the wind on his back, or at a Grateful Dead show, wrapped in the music he loved and often in one of his signature tie-dye shirts. A true Deadhead, Dan carried that spirit of music, color, and community everywhere he went.
His love for Philly sports teams ran deep, and he never missed a chance to cheer on the Flyers and Eagles. Whether celebrating a big win or suffering through a tough loss, Dan’s passion for his teams was always loud, loyal and at times quite aggravated like most Philly fans.
But above all, Dan’s greatest joys were his family and friends. He is survived by his children, Eric (Nicole) and Sarah (Vince). He is also survived by his siblings, Lisa and Mark; his grandchildren, Vincenzo, Rocco, Santino, Tommy, and Jeanette, who he loved beyond words; and his nephews Nathan and Saverio, niece Sienna all of whom he cherished deeply.
Dan will be remembered for his warmth, quick wit, and the way he made others feel seen and valued. His presence and his free spirit inspired everyone lucky enough to know and love him. Though he has left this world way too soon, the love he gave and the memories he created will live on forever.
Services to honor and celebrate Daniel’s life will be held at Volpe Funeral Home 707 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown, PA 19403 on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and remember a much-loved son, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle whose spirit will never fade.

in the strangest of places if you look at it right.” – Grateful Dead
