Dawn Marie Organtini, 59, of Norristown, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly, but quietly, in the early morning hours of December 6, 2022, surrounded by her daughters and brother after her battle with breast cancer.
Dawn, was born Feb 15, 1963 in Norristown to William Tarmin and Judith Renish. Dawn attended St. Francis, Rittenhouse grade schools, Eisenhower middle school, and completed at Norristown Area High School. She worked at Lou’s Steak shop for 20 years and was beloved by her regulars. She also worked at Conshohocken Veterinary Clinic as she attempted to fulfil a lifelong dream.
While Dawn’s life was cut short by illness, she did not allow sickness to consume her and found joy ineveryday things and spending time with her family. “I have things to do”, she would say, even if those things were enjoying the sunrise on her porch with a hot cup of coffee or cooking in her kitchen. Although not the center of attention, she loved a good party, new food, anything, and everything that sparkled, and found pride in even small accomplishments. A true free spirit, she saw life as an adventure and still stole every opportunity to laugh and smile even when the physical weighed her down. She loved baking, music (everything from Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to Fetty Wap), antiquing, museums, reading romance novels, playing with her art supplies, exploring nature, riding around in her jeep, and spending times with her friends and children. As the best Mimi and queen, she was quick to hug, and remind her grandkids of her pride and love in them and to embrace their own self pride. Even though Dawn left an unfillable void in her wake for those that loved her, she also left unparalleled lessons in inner strength, selflessness, pride, gratitude, the power of a gypsy soul, and quiet, yet fiercely burning loyalty.
Dawn was welcomed home by her two parents and son Christopher “T”. She leaves behind her daughters: Christina M. Galleo, Tarah A. Organtini-Russo, and Stephanie D. Whetstone, and son-in laws: Joseph, Charles, and Kevin; as well as her 5 grandchildren: Camillo, Joseph, Carmen, Bennedetto, and Brooklyn. She is also survived by her two brothers, David and Glenn Tarmin, former spouse Christopher Organtini, Sr., and entire Lou’s family.
