DOROTHY MAE NYCE
July 20, 1945 – November 1, 2025
Dorothy Mae Nyce, age 80, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1945, and was a proud graduate of Norristown High School, Class of 1963.
Dorothy was a devoted and active member of Olivet Schwenkfelder Church, UCC, where she faithfully served as a Sunday School Teacher, Secretary of Church Council, and member of the Women’s Fellowship.
Throughout her career, Dorothy was a valued employee of Norfab and Ametek Corporations in Norristown, where she was respected for her dedication and work ethic.
Dorothy was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles, and she loved to travel—visiting friends and family across the country and abroad, including memorable trips to Montana, Alabama, Colorado, and Germany. Dorothy also enjoyed bowling and took great joy in being one of the “Golden Girls.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Nyce and Roberta Bright Nyce, and her brothers, John Robert Nyce, Jacob Vincent Nyce, and Raymond Morris Nyce. She is survived by loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish her memory always.
A Memorial Service will be held at Olivet Schwenkfelder Church (619 W. Township Line Road East Norriton, PA 19403) on November 15, 2025 at 11am followed by a luncheon in Fellowship Hall.
