Edith Filandino Obituary

Edith I. (Ritrovato) Filandino passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2020. She was 101 years old and enjoyed spending time with her loving family and enjoyed cooking and baking. Edith loved music and she also liked singing and dancing. She worked at various companies during her lifetime and her last position prior to retirement was as a Sales Associate for E.J. Korvettes, King of Prussia Plaza.

Mrs. Filandino was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Rosina (Rosa) Ritrovato. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Filandino, Sr. and they were married for 79 years. Edith is survived by her son William J. Filandino, Jr (Evelyn), daughter Mary Jean Gabrielle (Jack Leo). Grandchildren, BJ Filandino and Shelly Gabrielle (Julio) and sister, Helen Mardi. Edith was predeceased by brothers Anthony, Enrico, Francis and Albert. Sisters Anne Harris and Geraldine Storti.

Edith's funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Edith will be laid to rest with her late husband William in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, Pa. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Edith to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
