Eleanor Boehner passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 84.
A longtime resident of Schwenksville, Eleanor dedicated her life to education and the students she so deeply cared for. She was a retired schoolteacher at Methacton High School, where her passion and commitment left a lasting impact. In recognition of her years of service and dedication, she was honored with the Methacton Legacy Award. Beyond the classroom, Eleanor was actively involved in school life—coaching basketball, tennis, softball, and cheerleading, and serving as both a yearbook sponsor and class sponsor.
Eleanor also had a love for the arts and literature. She participated in programs such as Arts Goes to School and was a member of a book club, always embracing opportunities to learn and connect with others. She enjoyed traveling and found great comfort and companionship in her beloved cat and other pets.
Born in Philadelphia on June 17, 1941, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Albert and Eleanor Boehner.
She is survived by her nephew, Jeb Boehner; her cousin, Edward Boehner; her sister-in-law, Susan Boehner; and many dear friends who will remember her kindness, dedication, and vibrant spirit.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Tuesday, April 14, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, followed by a time of reflection at Volpe Funeral Home, 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Road, East Norriton. Interment will be held privately at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eleanor’s memory to the North Penn Animal Hospital Angel Fund, 1200 Welsh Road, Lansdale, PA 19446.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Volpe Funeral Home.
