Ella M Bickley

Mrs. Ella M. Bickley, age 89, peacefully left us on December 9, 2025. She was a loving wife, nurturing mother, wonderful grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Her love, resilience, and warm sense of humor touched all of our lives in special ways.

Ella married her beloved George Bickley, and together they enjoyed 54 wonderful years. She brightened everyone’s lives mostly through the joy and pride she felt raising their two kids, Brian and Brenda. She cherished her stepson, Barry (Mary). Ella dedicated her life wholeheartedly to her family, always putting them first with love, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion. She was their rock—always there to support, guide, and cheer them on—and she carried that same caring spirit into her relationship with her grandchildren. Family truly was everything to her, and her legacy will happily carry on through the children she raised and the generations to come.

Ella will always be remembered not just for her big, loving heart, but also for her great sense of humor. She had this amazing knack for turning everyday moments into laughs—whether it was a clever joke, a playful tease, or funny family stories that we'd tell for years. Her humor was truly one of her special gifts, always finding a way to bring joy, even during tough times.

Ella leaves behind her children, Brian (Karla) and Brenda (Kirk), along with her wonderful grandchildren, Sean, Andrea, Barry (Tiffany), Jerome, Shawn, Brandon, Masyn, and Micah. She was also proud of her 10 great-grandchildren. Ella was warmly loved and is now preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, and her stepson.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Ella’s life on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Bright Hope Baptist Church 1601 N. 12th St, Philadelphia, PA 19122.
