Erica A. Scarafone

Erica A. Scarafone, age 43, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022, of an accidental drug overdose after a long brave battle with addiction.  She is survived by her parents, Ruthann (Wilson) Scarafone, Vincent Scarafone and stepmother Sandy.  She leaves behind her loving children, Tatum Burmester, Dominic Tammaro and Avery Friel.  She was predeceased by her son Joseph Friel V.  Also surviving is her sister Mariah Scarafone Gwin and her brother James Scarafone, along with her aunts, uncles and cousins.  Erica never wanted to be defined only by her addiction and mistakes, she so much more than that.  Erica was a beautiful women, she was feisty and outspoken but would do anything for anyone and always lit up the room with her smile and funny sense of humor.  She loved her family deeply.  And in true Erica form she was still giving by donating her life saving organs to others so they would have a second chance at life.  Erica was not “just another one gone too soon” she was truly one of a kind with a great heart and a gift that we lost and can never be replaced.  So, the best way to honor Erica is to think twice before you judge an addict.  
 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial service on Thursday, June 30 from 2 to 4 PM at the Volpe Funeral Home 707 WestGermantown Pike at Whitehall Rd. East Norriton. Burial will be private.
