Ernest C Volpe Jr

Ernest “Ernie”/“Unk” C. Volpe Jr. passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024. 

He was 94. 

Mr. Volpe of Norristown, formally of Mogeetown, Black Horse. 

Ernest was born in Norristown on July 23, 1929, and was the son of the late Ernesto Sr and Gaetana (Marano) Volpe.

Ernest was predeceased by his two brothers Estro “Eddie” and Amilio “Mil” Volpe. 

He is survived by many close family members, including a number of nieces & nephews, grand-nieces & grand-nephews, and sister-in-law, Edith J. (Scholl) Volpe. 

Ernest was a veteran of the United States Army. He built houses with his father and was the Superintendent of Asphalt Paving and Supply. He was a member of Holy Saviour church, and Holy Saviour club, Norristown. Ernest enjoyed hunting, trips to the mountains, horse racing, and mushroom hunting. 

He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. 

Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, July 13 from 9 to 9:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM in Holy Saviour church.

Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe funeral home.
