Frederick N. Hays

Frederick N. Hays lived a long life filled with love, learning and a devotion to his family.  He passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the age of 90.
Mr. Hays of Jeffersonville was a retired Engineering Group Manager for Unisys. He was also one of the first computer pioneers for which he was awarded a plaque to memorialize his contributions.

Frederick was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. He was born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on March 19, 1932 and is the son of the late Norman and Dorothy (Howell) Hays.
Frederick was the loving husband of Sheila (Kravitz) Hays.
He is survived by his two sons, Ronald (Diane) Hays and Michael (Amy) Hays and his three daughters, Diana Hays, Connie Hays and Denise Hays.
He leaves behind six grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark), Kristi, Ryan (Evelynda), Stephanie, Daniel and Justin and three great grandchildren, Avary, Dylana and Aiden.
Frederick was an avid golfer and bowler. He also enjoyed playing poker in Atlantic City.
He was a great storyteller.  He adoringly called his children his "ten cent kids" since he met their mother after taking a job that was a dime more than another job offer.  His "ten cent kids" will sorely miss him but the story will live on in their hearts forever.

Visitation services will start Thursday, May 12th from 12pm to 1pm for Family/Friends followed by a memorial service at 1pm.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Hospital.
