Frederick "Freddy" Silverwood Sr. passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was 84.
Mr. Silverwood of Norristown was retired driver for the former Strohman Bakeries. Fred was a veteran of the United States Army.
Fred was an avid golfer and was a member of the Spring Hollow, and Gilbertsville golf clubs.
Fred accomplished having made three hole in ones.
Fred also enjoyed bowling fishing and going to the shore with his family.
Fred was born in Norristown on December 19, 1937 and was the son of the late Irving and Ethel (Frederick) Silverwood.
He survived by his wife Rose (Kovach) Silverwood.
Three sons Frederick Jr., Kenneth, and Curtis (Amy) Silverwood.
One brother John (Toni) Hadfeild.
Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Ann Silverwood and brothers Robert (Shirley) and Thomas (Sharon).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, February 11 at 3 PM. His viewing will be held on Friday from 1:30 to 3 PM at the Volpe Funeral Home 707 W. Germantown Pike at Whitehall Rd., East Norton. Family request in Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude for children or Fox Chase.
