George Hutchinson III

George Hutchinson passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021.  He was 83 years old.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Laverne Rose Hutchinson, his daughters Tina Underwood, Debra Donnelly, son-in-law Michael Donnelly, son Christopher Hutchinson, and grandchildren Wilson Byrne, Allison Donnelly, Matthew Donnelly, and Brady Byrne.  

Rick, as he liked to be called, was born in Cincinnati, OH to Clara and George Hutchinson II.  He was the youngest of two children, predeceased older sister Joan.  He joined the army when he was 18 served for 6 years. He trained at the Fort Leonard Wood army base in Missouri then served in Korea and in France.  

He was an audiologist who worked at Beltone Hearing Aid and later was a manager at Costco Hearing Aid department.  He met and married Rose, after dating for only three months on August 23, 1968.  Rick and Rose (R&R) raised their family in Gaithersburg, MD and later moved to Norristown, PA in retirement to be close to family.  

He loved his family, he loved his dogs, and loved peanut butter cups!  He would find a good home for every pastry and cup of coffee he could.  He enjoyed fishing, billiards, and playing cards.  He had to go out every day and talk to everyone that would listen.  

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
