George N Nave

George N. Nave passed away peacefully on January 20th. He was 91. Born in Norristown on June 22, 1933, he was the son of the late Angelina Abatello Nave, and the youngest of four siblings: Rose Diana, Dominic and Rev. Francis Nave. Reverend Nave was the first ordained priest in Holy Savior Parish. George joined the United States Army at 17 years old. He was stationed at Ft Bragg in
Kentucky and Ft Campbell in North Carolina. From there he was deployed to Germany and bravely served 5 years protecting our country. He was apart of the 11th Airborne Paratrooper Unit, and the military infantry division “The Big Red 1.” George earned his diploma during his service in the military in Germany. He proudly worked and later retired from PennCo Products, a division of Allenwood Steel
located in Oaks, Pa. He married the love of his life, Dolores "Doy"(Angelucci) and welcomed 2 children, George and Rita Dee. His family was his world and his ultimate pride. A true sports
fan, he loved watching football, boxing, horse racing, and all local sports teams. During his school years, he was an all star in basketball and baseball. George was a life long parishioner of Holy Savior Church. He had a strong devotion to Padre Pio, The Blessed Virgin Mary, and he prayed the Rosary faithfully. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Dolores "Doy". He is survived by his son George (Michelle) Nave and daughter Rita Dee (Anthony) Tornambe. He has four grand children: Dr Dolores Tornambe (Ryan), Michael Tornambe (Erin), George Nave (Heather) and Geno Nave. He also has four great grandchildren Bella, Mikey, Luca and Stella who he loved very much.
 

A viewing will be held on at Holy Savior Church on Saturday January 25th from 10am-11am. A mass of christian burial will immediately follow at 11am.
 

Burial will be at St Patrick’s Cemetery.
