George D. Spedding Jr., beloved father, brother, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Fountain Hills, AZ on June 30, 2024 at 67 years old.
Born on October 19, 1956, at Women’s Medical Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, George grew up in East Norriton, PA in Penn Square Village and was a member at St. Titus Catholic Church. He graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School in 1974 with a baseball scholarship to Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, WV. He had a successful career in the insurance industry, eventually settling down for retirement in Scottsdale, AZ. George loved music, travel, the outdoors, fly fishing, golf, and time spent with friends and family. He was an avid sports fan, always rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.
George will be deeply missed by his daughter Leanne Baiocchi, son-in-law Jason Baiocchi, grandson Dean Baiocchi, brother David Spedding, sister-in-law Lina Spedding, nephews Thomas and David Spedding Jr. (with wife Audrey and son Van Spedding), his loving partner Christine LaGreca, and the LaGreca family - Brian and Jenny, Jason and Char, and grandchildren, as well as countless friends and colleagues. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor.
There will be a memorial service at St. Titus Catholic Church in East Norriton, PA on Saturday, July 20th (9:30AM visitation; 10AM mass; private interment to follow).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the National Park Foundation to support the land and wildlife that George loved.
