Giovanni Badalamenti

Giovanni Badalamenti passed away peacefully on Sunday January 7, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old.

Giovanni Badalamenti of Collegeville was a member of St. Eleanor Church. He was married to his late wife Rosa for 61 years. Giovanni loved to be around his family and friends and lived life to its fullest. He was the cofounder of Gino’s Restaurant in 1972. He ran this successful business for many years with his 3 sons and cousin. His true passion in life was cooking. You could always find him in the kitchen creating delicious masterpieces for everyone he loved. Within the past 15 months, Giovanni had the chance to share his passion and recipes with millions of viewers and following on social media. He was strong, hardworking, knowledgeable, and loving.

Giovanni was born in Carini, Italy on October 14, 1937 and was the son of the late Francesco and Rosalia (Aiello) Badalamenti. 
Giovanni is survived by his sons, Francesco, wife Elizabeth, Giacomo, wife Anita, Giovanni, wife Suzette, and a wonderful cousin, Giuseppe Mineo, wife Nicole, who he raised as one of his own (Zachary, Tristan, Julian). 

He was an adored Nonno to his beautiful grandchildren: 
Valentino, Davio, Luca, Rosanella, RaeAna, Giacomo, Massimo, and Nicolino 
 

Pre-deceased by wife Rosa, brother Vincenzo, sisters Ninfina, Margherita, and Giovanna.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Saturday, January 13th at 12 noon in St. Eleanor's Church, Collegeville. Family will receive relatives and friends at the church from 10:00 am to 11:45 AM. Entombment will be in Saint Patrick's mausoleum.
