Harlon H. Simmons Jr.

Harlon H. Simmons Jr. of Malvern, PA passed away at home on March 2, 2022.

Harlon was born June 11, 1943, to the late Harlon H. Simmons Sr. and Anna C. Simmons (Carten). He attended St. Katherine of Sienna School in Wayne, PA. Harlon proudly served our Country as a Spec 4 in the United States Army from 1961-1964.

Harlon was employed by the United States Post Office in Wayne, PA, Nelson Roofing Company in Malvern, PA and most recently at Villa Maria Academy in Malvern, PA.

Harlon loved his family and enjoyed family vacations in Wildwood, NJ, his motorcycles, and dogs.

Harlon is survived by his loving wife, Theresa M. Simmons (Miller) of 55 years; his daughter Kelly Avery (wife of Brian), daughter Michele Bunting and sister Christine A. O’Connor. Harlon was blessed to love and be a grandfather to Ashely M. Bunting and Dylan M. Avery.

Harlon is survived by his niece Dawn M. Batties and nephew Allen R. O’Connor as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Harlon was preceded in death by; brother James F. Simmons, sister Barbara A. Koelle and his grandson Andrew S. Bunting who he adored.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on March 11, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 104 Channing Avenue, Malvern, PA 19355.
