Ignazio Santangelo

Ignazio Santangelo passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, April 1, 2022. He was 85.
Mr. Santangelo, of Norristown, retired from Villanova University, and formerly worked for Wonder Bread Bakery.

He was a member of Holy Saviour Church and a part of the Senior Citizens Club.

Ignazio was a devoted husband, father, and nonno. He loved gardening and spending time with his family. He especially loved Christmas time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Ignazio was born in Sciacca, Sicily (Italy) on February 12, 1937, and immigrated to Brooklyn, NY in the summerof 1967. 

He was the son of the late Paolo and Alberta (Scardino)Santangelo. He is survived by his beloved wife Brigida(Falcetta) Santangelo.
He is also survived by his two sons Paolo (Danielle) Santangelo and Giuseppe (Trisha) Santangelo, his daughter Betty (Jude) Nascimento, and his seven grandchildren: Bella, Ava, Lorenzo, Nicholas, Samuel, Giada and Daniel, all of whom loved their nonno very much. 
One brother, Cologero, and two sisters, Cologera Curreriand Giusepina Catanzaro. Proceeded in death by his late sister Rosa (Saladino). 
 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Wednesday, April 6 at 10 AM at Holy Saviour Church, Norristown.
Family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM. Entombment will be in Saint Patrick’s Mausoleum.
