Immacolata Auriemma, 96, of Plymouth Meeting entered into heaven on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. She was born in Montella Italy on May 13, 1927 and was a daughter of the late Rocco and Antonia (Cione) Moscariello. In 1947 she immigrated into the United States and prepared the way for the rest of her family to come over and start a new life in America. Immacolata was a retired seamstress, a devout member of the Holy Saviour Church, and was a Foster Grandparent for many years. In addition she was an active member at the Holy Saviour Club, where she could often be seen cooking delicious homemade Italian food.
Immacolata was the wife of Stefano Auriemma with whom she raised a beautiful family which she was very proud of. She is survived by her son, Rocco (Alba) Auriemma and three daughters, Anna Dembowski (Bob Floyd), Rosalie Obniski (Denny Tappan), and Maria (late husband Matthew) Jimenez; one sister, Margaret Battaglia; six grandchildren, Matthew, Adrianna, Jennifer, Jason, Gabrielle, and Alicia; and nine great-grandchildren, Ian, Dillon, Matthew, Jilliann, Isabella, Giavanna, Hunter, Gianna and Michael.
She was predeceased by her husband Stefano; her sisters, Rosalia Moscariello, Giacomina Fiorentino and Antoinette Ciccarone; and her sons-in-law Robert Obniski, Bernie Dembowski and Matthew Jimenez.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Monday, January 15 at 10 AM in Holy Saviour Church. Family will receive relatives and friends Monday at the church from 8:30 to 9:45. Burial will be in Saint Patrick's Mausoleum.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Montgomery County Foster Grandparents. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Volpe Funeral Home. volpefh.com
