Schwenksville, Pennsylvania—James David Germes age 66 died of heart failure July 30, 2021. He was the fourth of five brothers born in Toledo, Ohio on February 20, 1955, to John F. Germes and Fannie Mitchell Germes. They preceded him in death along with his brothers, Mark Germes, and John Germes.
He is survived by his wife, Bernadette of 41 years; four children:
Stephanie, James David Jr., Samantha, and William all of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania. David enjoyed his six grandchildren: Nicholas, Kameron, Isabella, Jackson, Evaliese and Amileya. He is survived by his brothers Stephen (Suzanne) Germes, Topeka Kansas and Peter Germes of Wichita Kansas; Sister-in-law Claudia Germes of Wichita Kansas; Brother-in-laws Stephen Mickelson of Quakertown Pennsylvania and Edward (Debbie) Mickelson of Quakertown Pennsylvania.
David worked for American Olean Tile of Lansdale for many years and then worked as an Electrical Technician’s Apprentice. Later he was a Special Services Driver. David lived in Pennsylvania 63 years enjoying playing sports, hunting, fishing, and enjoying activities with his family.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts are suggested to the Germes childrens in care of Volpe Funeral Home 707 W Germantown Pike, Norristown, Pa. 19403.
