Jim was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 31, 1962, the second child of the late Thomas W. Jones and Martha J. Jones. He graduated from Upper Merion High School Class of 1980. His career took him through hospitality where he met his wife, sales, and healthcare, serving over a decade finally as marketing manager at Valley Forge Medical Center and Hospital. In Trooper, he raised a family with his wife, two sons, and a menagerie of pets, fostering opportunities, love, and happiness. His gregarious personality won him many friends with whom he enjoyed golfing, attending concerts, and playing poker. He most recently had been volunteering in Montgomery County with a charity aiding the unhoused.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Candace E. Jones(Candy), on November 9, 2019, after her valiant fight with Ovarian Cancer. Jim is survived by his sons, Matthew T.
